Odin was worshiped across Scandinavia and Germanic Europe from the early 1st century CE to the 11th century Viking Age. He was the god of war, wisdom, magic, and poetry, often associated with ravens Huginn and Muninn. Major worship sites included Uppsala (Sweden) and Denmark. He ruled Asgard and prepared for Ragnarök, the prophesied end of the gods.
