Description

Product description

This helmet is inspired by the Corinthian helmet type, one of the most recognizable forms of head protection in ancient Greece. First appearing in the late 7th century BCE, Corinthian helmets were widely used throughout the Archaic and Classical periods, particularly between the 6th and 5th centuries BCE. They were worn by hoplites, heavily armed citizen-soldiers who fought in tightly organized phalanx formations.

The diadem ornamentation reflects the close relationship between warfare, status, and ritual in Greek society. Diadem motifs were associated with nobility, divine favor, and authority, and their presence on military equipment elevated the helmet beyond pure functionality. Such decorative elements were especially common in regions like Corinth, Attica, and the Peloponnese, where armorers combined protection with refined artistic expression.
