Description

Product description

Inspired by the legendary weapons attributed to King Agamemnon, this replica reflects the swords unearthed in the royal shaft graves of Grave Circle A. Dating to the 16th century BCE, during the height of the Mycenaean civilization, such swords symbolized both martial power and divine authority. The Mycenaeans, who dominated mainland Greece in the Late Bronze Age (circa 1600–1100 BCE), crafted long thrusting blades designed for close combat, reflecting advanced metallurgy and elite warrior culture.

Agamemnon, the fabled king who led the Greek forces in the Trojan War, became an enduring symbol of Mycenaean dominance and heroic tradition. Archaeological discoveries in Mycenae revealed richly decorated weapons buried alongside nobles, indicating their ceremonial and status-bearing importance. Swords of this type were produced and used across the Peloponnese and Aegean regions, representing the fusion of warfare, kingship, and myth that defined the era.
