This bonded bronze clock, designed in the Baroque style, resembles a ship and is supported by two Atlas figures, symbolizing strength and endurance. Atlas, a Titan in Greek mythology, was condemned to hold up the sky for eternity. The clock features two winged women, likely Nike, the goddess of victory, customarily sculpted at the front of ships for protection. Inside the ship, an abundance of fruits and vegetables symbolizes prosperity and abundance, while two smaller winged figures, representing divine messengers or blessings, enhance the scene. The ornate engravings and elaborate design reflect the grandeur and drama characteristic of the Baroque style.
