This bonded bronze statue depicts Aeolus, the Greek god of the winds, holding a conch shell and a bag of winds, surrounded by swirling gusts. Aeolus was the keeper of the winds, residing on the floating island of Aeolia. In Greek mythology, he played a key role in The Odyssey, granting Odysseus a bag containing all winds except the gentle Zephyrus (the west wind), needed for a safe journey home. However, Odysseus' crew, driven by curiosity, opened the bag, releasing chaotic winds that drove their ship off course. Aeolus symbolizes nature's balance between order and chaos.
