Description

Product description

He led as emperor-general the pan-Hellenic campaign against the Persians and was to create a vast state to the depths of Asia and spread Greek civilization. To build his empire, Alexander covered vast distances. After the defeat of the Persians in Asia he went to Egypt, returned to Asia to pursue Darius and then his murderers in Bactria. In 324 BC his troops mutinied in India and refused to advance. Alexander died in 323 in Babylon, aged only thirty-three. He was one of the greatest generals to ever live and is usually among the most prominent historical figures of all time.
