This bonded bronze sculpture captures the mythic moment when Eros lifts Psyche from the mortal world and carries her to his secret palace, suspended between earth and destiny. With wings fully unfurled and bow drawn close, Eros embodies divine strength tempered by devotion. Psyche rises in his grasp, her form turning upward in trust, wonder, and surrender to a love she has not yet been allowed to see.

In Greek mythology, Psyche’s beauty rivals that of Aphrodite, provoking the goddess’s jealousy. Sent to destroy her, Eros instead falls in love and rescues Psyche from mortal danger, spiriting her away to a magical palace where love exists without sight or certainty. This sculpture distills that intimate transition—faith preceding knowledge, desire overcoming divine command.
