- The Sword (Authority and Enforcement): Typically double-edged, the sword symbolizes the power of the law to be swift, final, and protective. It represents the authority to both punish wrongdoing and defend the innocent.

- The Snake Underfoot (Conquering Evil): Crushing a serpent represents the triumph of justice over evil, corruption, lies, and deceit. It symbolizes the legal system’s role in subduing malicious forces to protect the integrity of society.

- The Law Book (The Foundation): The book beneath her foot represents the Constitution or codified law, signifying that the justice system is born from and firmly grounded in a written legal foundation.

Together, these elements portray an ideal where the law (the book) serves as the steady ground upon which corruption (the snake) is defeated through balanced judgment (the scales) and decisive action (the sword), all performed without bias (the blindfold).
