Product description

This bonded bronze figure represents Chronos (also spelled Chronus), the Titan of Time in Greek mythology. Depicted with wings, a scythe, and an hourglass, he symbolizes the relentless passage of time and fate. As ruler of the Golden Age, he feared a prophecy that his children would overthrow him, leading him to swallow them at birth. His wife, Rhea, saved Zeus, who later forced Chronos to regurgitate his siblings and defeated him. The Titan was then either imprisoned in Tartarus or exiled to rule over time itself. His legacy endures in myths of cycles, destiny, and cosmic order.
