One Muse sits on a rocky outcrop playing a kithara (lyre) while another stands beside her, quietly observing. Between them appears a small bird, commonly interpreted as a magpie or nightingale, a symbol associated with song and poetic inspiration.

Lekythoi were slender terracotta oil vessels produced in Athens and often used in funerary rituals, holding perfumed oils placed at graves. The delicate white-ground technique allowed painters like the Achilles Painter to create elegant, contemplative scenes reflecting the ideals of Classical Greek art.

Replica of a Classical Attic white-ground lekythos (ca. 445–430 BCE) attributed to the Achilles Painter, depicting two Muses on Mount Helicon with a lyre and symbolic bird, originally preserved in the Staatliche Antikensammlungen, Munich.

[69,77

post-16997","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","product_cat-pottery","product_cat-attic
["GET
